Safety & trust

The best protection is stopping a scam before it starts.

Always one step ahead

Refreshed every morning with the latest scams from official UK sources — so Enid knows what's circulating this week, not last year.

Scan anything, understand everything

A text, an email, a letter, a QR code or a phone number — Enid checks it and explains, in plain words, whether it's safe.

Private by design

To reply, your words are processed securely by the AI behind Enid (Anthropic); we don't keep them to profile you, never sell or share them, and your reminders stay on your own device.

Built on official UK sources

HMRC, the NCSC and the Home Office's Stop! Think Fraud — the guidance the experts trust.

Why Enid

Most AI is frozen in the past. Enid reads the news every morning.

Show Enid a text, an email, a letter or even a QR code, and she tells you straight away whether it's a scam — and exactly what to do. And unlike other AI, stuck on last year's tricks, she takes in the latest fraud warnings from official UK sources every single morning, so she catches what's going round this week — the scams out-of-date advice waves straight through.

What Enid does

Four good reasons she earns her place on the home screen.

Someone to talk to

A warm, patient chat any time, day or night — ask her anything, from working the telly to what a letter means. For the quiet afternoons, when family live far away or the house is quieter than it was, she's company that's always there, and she remembers what matters to you.

Spots the scams others miss

Scan anything — a text, an email, a letter, a QR code, even a phone number — and Enid says plainly whether it's safe and what to do. Her fraud knowledge is refreshed every morning, so it reflects what criminals are actually doing this week.

One app instead of ten

Reminders, to-dos and the little facts that matter — Enid keeps it all, just by asking. No more juggling separate apps and alerts: tell her once, and she handles it.

On top form, every day

A daily quiz, a proper crossword, word and timeline games — quick, satisfying, and genuinely good for staying sharp. A daily habit worth looking forward to.

The thoughtful gift

What do you give the parent who says they don't need anything?

You can't be there when the dodgy text arrives, or when the afternoon goes quiet. Enid can — the kind of present that doesn't end up in a drawer: a little company, a daily habit they look forward to, and quiet reassurance for you that someone sensible is keeping an eye out.

  • Set up in two minutes. No box, no batteries, no instructions to puzzle over.
  • Nothing to go wrong. It works in a browser today, and the app simply opens and starts talking.
  • Peace of mind, both ways. They get a friend; you get to worry a little less.

Why I built Enid

Growing older shouldn't mean facing it alone.

Life has a way of growing quieter. Children move away, a partner passes, the old community isn't quite what it was — and an empty house has a lot of hours in it. Those are exactly the moments a worry goes unspoken, or a suspicious message gets a second look with no one there to ask.

And fraud has never been cleverer. The same cutting-edge technology behind everything else now builds scams polished enough to catch any of us out. I kept coming back to one thought: it's far kinder to keep someone a step ahead than to help them pick up the pieces — so why not turn that very technology around, and use it for good?

That's Enid. A patient, unhurried friend who's simply there — to check the dodgy text, to share today's quiz, to answer the small question at an odd hour — and to help the people we love feel sharp, capable and a good deal less alone.

"I've watched people I love — sharp, capable people — lose money to scams, then refuse to believe it even when shown the proof. Modern fraud is built with the latest technology and designed to slip past anyone, and older people don't always ask for help — out of pride, or not wanting to be a burden. I built Enid to be the friend they can always ask, with no judgement: she spots a scam in seconds, explains it plainly, and helps them stay sharp, independent and a step ahead."

Good questions

The things families ask us.

Is it suitable for someone who isn't good with technology?

That's exactly who Enid is for. There's no account to set up and no password to remember — you open her and start talking. The text is large, the words are plain, and she can read everything aloud. If they can send a text message, they can use Enid.

How does she actually protect them from scams?

Whenever something doesn't feel right — a text, an email, a phone call, a letter — they can ask Enid about it, or paste it in, or take a photo of it. She'll say plainly whether it looks like a scam and what to do next. Because she reads official UK fraud sources every morning, her advice reflects what criminals are actually doing this week.

What happens to their conversations?

To work out a reply, Enid sends what you type to a trusted AI provider (Anthropic) to process — much as searching the web or sending an email means it leaves your device. We don't keep your conversations to build a profile of you, we never sell or share them, and the reminders you ask Enid to keep are stored on your own device. Enid never asks for money, passwords or bank details.

What does it cost?

You can try Enid free in your browser today. A full iPhone and Android app is on the way; pricing will be simple and fair, and we've made a firm promise: urgent and crisis help will never be placed behind a paywall.

Is she pretending to be a real person?

Never. Enid is an AI companion and she's always honest about that. She's there for the in-between moments and the quick questions — and for anything serious, she points to real people and proper help.

Can I set it up for my mum or dad?

Yes — that's how most families use it. It takes a couple of minutes, with nothing to configure. Set her up, show them once, and she'll be there from then on.

Meet Enid today.

She works right now, free, in any web browser — on a phone, a tablet or a computer. Have a chat with her yourself, then think of who in your family she'd be perfect for.

Be first to know when the app launches

We're building a proper iPhone and Android app. Leave your email and we'll tell you the moment it's ready — nothing else, no spam.

We'll only email you about the app launch. How we handle your details.
