Why I built Enid
Growing older shouldn't mean facing it alone.
Life has a way of growing quieter. Children move away, a partner passes,
the old community isn't quite what it was — and an empty house has a lot
of hours in it. Those are exactly the moments a worry goes unspoken, or a
suspicious message gets a second look with no one there to ask.
And fraud has never been cleverer. The same cutting-edge technology behind
everything else now builds scams polished enough to catch any of us out. I
kept coming back to one thought: it's far kinder to keep someone a step
ahead than to help them pick up the pieces — so why not turn that very
technology around, and use it for good?
That's Enid. A patient, unhurried friend who's simply there — to check the
dodgy text, to share today's quiz, to answer the small question at an odd
hour — and to help the people we love feel sharp, capable and a good deal
less alone.
